Dr. Amrita Kaur

Dr. Amrita Kaur is an accomplished academic and researcher with a Ph.D. in Commerce from Jamia Millia Islamia (2013) and over 15 years of teaching experience in the University of Delhi. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. Her prior teaching roles include positions at Shaheed Bhagat Singh (Evening) College and Keshav Mahavidyalaya, where she taught a range of commerce and finance subjects. A dedicated educator and mentor, Dr. Kaur has guided students in areas of taxation, investment fundamentals, and international business, combining theoretical knowledge with practical insights.

Her research interests span international trade, taxation, and finance, with numerous publications in reputed SCOPUS and Web of Science indexed journals. Dr. Kaur has authored and co-authored research papers on diverse topics such as digital technology in higher education, sustainable business models, foreign direct investment, oil price shocks, and corporate sustainability. Her work has appeared in leading journals including the International Journal of Energy Research, Global Business and Economic Review, and Economic and Political Weekly. She has also contributed book chapters to globally recognized publications by Palgrave Macmillan and Edward Elgar, focusing on sustainability, trade competitiveness, and ethics in business.

Beyond academics, Dr. Kaur has been actively involved in organizing faculty development programs, research workshops, and NAAC initiatives. She has served as Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator for several funded research projects by ICSSR and the University of Delhi, focusing on sustainability, environmental management, and rural development. An active reviewer for PLOS ONE and participant in various national and international conferences, Dr. Kaur continues to make significant contributions to research, teaching, and institutional development within the higher education ecosystem.
